Kathmandu. English player Harry Kane won the Ballon d’Or award on Monday and he became the first English player to win this award in 25 years. Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé beat tough challenges and he was declared the winner.
Spain’s Alexia Putelas became Vijena for the third consecutive time on the women’s side. She became the winner due to Barcelona’s strong performance in the Women’s European Champions League last season. The award is named after the English player at the event held in London.
The 33-year-old Bayern Munich forward scored an incredible 73 goals in 65 games for his country and club last season. In this process, Bayern won both the domestic league and the cup. In the World Cup 2026, England finished third and he scored six goals.
