Kathmandu. Passengers who left Kathmandu valley to celebrate Dasai have started returning in a hurry.

After the passengers started returning, the traffic pressure has started to increase at the main points entering the valley. With the increase in the number of passengers and vehicles returning from home, the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has informed that the number of vehicles has increased in the road sections including Nagadhunga-Kalanki, Jadibuti-Koteshwar, Jagati in Bhaktapur, and Dakshinkali-Farping.

As the number of passengers returning to the valley started increasing day by day, the office said that the surveillance on the road has been increased with the aim of facilitating traffic, managing traffic congestion and reducing possible accidents.

Around 1,000 vehicles, including private cars, jeeps, motorcycles and small and large public vehicles, travel through the main checkpoints of the valley.

More than 576,000 people came out of the valley from Ghatasthapana to 3rd October to celebrate Dasai this year.
