Kathmandu. Jenji activist Tanuja Pandey has alleged that the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah is not accountable to the people and not accountable to the Parliament.
Pandey expressed her displeasure with the working style of the government by publicizing her opinion through social media. She said that recently one after another undemocratic incidents are happening, sometimes cars are parked in front of the media house, sometimes assaulting rights workers, threatening to break their arms and legs, and journalists being taken away from the newsroom.
There is no responsibility to the people, no fear, no accountability to the House itself. Sometimes they would stop the car in front of the media house, sometimes they would assault the rights workers, sometimes they would threaten to break someone’s limbs, and sometimes they would pick up the journalists from the newsroom! One after another undemocratic scandals and change the subject!’ she said.
Pandey has also questioned the fact that the Prime Minister’s Office was unaware of what its own security agencies had done. “An omniscient person who knows that no one knows that the country has encroached on other people’s territory, will say that he did not know what his own security agencies did – and should we believe it?” she asked.
Aiming at Prime Minister Shah, she satirized the working style of the government and commented that the country itself has become a ‘ludo’.
“You have made the country a Ludo, now take all the credit for it, Mr. Prime Minister!” Pandey said.
