Jumla. A young man has died after lightning struck a herd of sheep in Patan located in Hima rural municipality-2 of Jumla. Also, more than a dozen sheep and goats have been killed.

According to District Police Office Jumla, 19-year-old Ravindra Rawat died on the spot after being struck by lightning in Chotakhark area of ​​Odi village. He went to Patan to graze sheep. According to the police, 15 sheep have died. Bal Bahadur Rokaya and Jagat Rokaya, who went to graze sheep with Ravindra, were injured.

Jumla police chief DSP Chiranjeevi Dahal said that a police team has been deployed at the spot. Since it is a remote area in terms of geography, it seems that it will take some time for the police team to reach there. As soon as the team arrives, the real information will be received,” he said.

Similarly, 12 goats were killed by lightning in Siddhi Ganesh Community Forest in Bohoragaon, Chandannath Municipality-10, Jumla. At around 3.30 pm on Wednesday, lightning struck a goat grazing in the community forest area. From which 12 goats of five farmers died. District Police Office Jumla said that there was no human loss.

According to the police, 1 goat of Dal Bahadur Kami, 3 of Dhanraj Vic, 1 of Jyoti Nepali, 1 of Gobi Sarki and 6 of Singh Nepali have died.

Local Dal Bahadur Kami informed the police about the incident by telephone. As soon as the news was received, the police team reached the spot and prepared the necessary bond, according to the District Police Office.
