Godavari (Kailali). Video x-ray and mammography services have been stopped at Geta Hospital, which is run under Shaheed Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences.

The information officer of the hospital, Nainsingh Karki, informed that the service was stopped due to the lack of specialist doctors for that service in the hospital. According to him, two months ago, after the transfer of radiologist Dr Hom Pant to Koshi, he resigned from the job and the service was stopped. At Geta Hospital, where video x-rays are performed on up to 20 people daily, the patients who come to get services are forced to go out after the services are closed.

Information Officer Karki has continued the video x-ray service for pregnant women and obstetricians (gynecologists). He says that the mammography (breast X-ray examination) service has also been stopped due to lack of radiologist doctor.

He said that the reporting of mammography should also be done to the radiologist doctor, so the service was stopped due to lack of radiologist doctor. Mammography service was introduced for the first time in this area.

In the hospital with a physical structure of 600 beds, only 50 beds are currently in operation. Although the locals of this area have repeatedly pressed for the expansion of services in the hospital, even the current services have not been fully operational. Even though the infrastructure has been built to operate the ICU NICU service in the hospital, this service has not been operational yet.
