Gurkha. Due to the lack of roads and bridges, the farmers of Gandaki Rural Municipality of Gorkha have been facing problems for years as they could not reach the agricultural produce to the market. Locals have complained to Home Minister Sudhan Gurung saying that the vegetables produced do not get a proper price and they rot in the garden because they cannot be taken to the market.
Home Minister Gurung, who visited Gandaki Rural Municipality during the meeting with the voters, told the locals that there is a problem in the marketing of agricultural products due to the lack of a bridge. They complain that due to lack of easy access to transport, vegetables cannot be delivered to the market on time and in some cases they are not sold but rot in the garden.
According to the locals, the lack of bridge has affected not only the sale and distribution of agricultural produce but also daily traffic and economic activities.
After listening to the complaints of the locals, Home Minister Gurung has informed that the process of constructing a concrete bridge at Jamireghat has progressed. He said that after the construction of the bridge, the movement of the locals will be easy and it will be easy to deliver the vegetables and other agricultural products produced by the farmers to the market.
