Twelve. A dispute broke out during the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Basic Health Office located in Feta Rural Municipality-3 of Bara. One person was seriously injured in the shooting. After the incident, angry locals set fire to more than 10 motorcycles.
Locals protested that the newly constructed building was inaugurated without provision of basic infrastructure including electricity and drinking water. They alleged that the building was inaugurated without ensuring the necessary facilities for its operation.
A dispute started between the locals and the village leadership regarding this issue. It is said that the dispute escalated after village chairman Rustam Ansari tried to forcefully open the building despite the opposition of the locals.
President Ansari, who is also a convention representative of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), was earlier affiliated to Viveksheel Saha Party. Later he joined RSVP.
A tense situation has been created in the Feta area after the firing during the dispute. It is said that after the incident, angry locals set fire to more than 10 motorcycles.
Locals have demanded that the police investigate who fired the shot and why, and publicize the truth of the incident. More details about the incident are yet to come.
