Kathmandu. The Supreme Court of Brazil issued a statement on Wednesday clarifying that no police action was taken against Senator Flavio Bolsonaro and no search and seizure warrants were issued.
Earlier, the famous Brazilian news media “G One” had published the news that the federal police had executed a search and seizure warrant at Flavio’s house in the capital city of Brasilia on Wednesday morning.
It was mentioned in the news that the police was looking for him after he did not comply with the Supreme Court’s order to hand over his passport during the investigation related to asset laundering.
Denying the news, the statement issued by the Supreme Court said, “There is no truth in the news that any search and seizure warrants have been issued or executed targeting Senator Flavio Bolsonaro or his addresses, it is completely a rumor.”
Various sources said that Bolsonaro, who was defeated in the presidential election, reached America on Wednesday. US President Donald Trump’s administration will grant visas to Flavio, his wife and two daughters, a US official said. However, his whereabouts were not immediately clear. A source close to the family said he had arrived in Florida. Reuters
