Kathmandu. As the security situation in Saudi Arabia has become sensitive recently, the Nepali Embassy has asked the Nepali citizens there to exercise high vigilance. The embassy has requested not to go out of the house except for essential work and to follow the instructions of the security agencies.

The embassy has issued a notice and asked to be extra careful in the areas and times where security warnings have been issued. Also, Nepali citizens have been warned not to post and share misleading, unverified or provocative photos and videos on social media.

Nepalese who are preparing to travel by air have been requested by the Embassy to leave for the trip only after confirming from the relevant airline company or official sources whether there has been any change in the flight schedule.

In case of any problem or emergency situation, it is also requested to contact Nepali Embassy in Riyadh and Nepali Consulate General in Jeddah by phone or email.

It is said that about four lakh Nepali workers are working in Saudi Arabia. About 90,000 Nepalis go to Saudi Arabia from Nepal every year for employment.
