Kathmandu. Omar Marmos can play both forward and winger roles. He played in Egypt’s first two matches at this World Cup, but failed to score.

He was rested in the third match of the group stage. It is believed that he will return to the playing XI for the last 32 match against Australia.

Since his ‘debut’ in 2021, Marmos has scored 11 goals in 52 matches for Egypt. Having a Canadian passport, he could have played there as well, but being born in Cairo, he chose Egypt.

He started his club football in 2016-17 from Egyptian team Wadi Degla Sporting. After that, he went to the English Premier League team Manchester City in January of 2025 at the age of 27 for about 60 million pounds through Germany’s Wolfsburg and Frankfurt. He has scored 10 goals in 37 games for City.
