Kathmandu. Kumar Thapa, known as ‘Nepali Bro’, who was arrested in the case of wife murder, and his girlfriend Pratishka Acharya have been sent to jail for preliminary investigation.
On Thursday, the bench of Judge Mahendra Bahadur Karki of Kathmandu District Court ordered them to be sent to jail pending trial.
Thapa’s wife Ishwari Bhujel, who was also a Suvedar of the Nepali Army, was stabbed to death on 22 June at 9:30 pm. Soon after, Thapa was arrested for investigation.
Vikram Thapa Magar, the brother of Nepali Bro and his friend Pujan Thapa Chhetri, who were arrested in this case, have been ordered to be released on a bond of 1 lakh.
