Kathmandu. Gyanendra Shahi, the leader of the parliamentary party of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and MP Gyanendra Shahi, has expressed serious objection saying that the government has been extremely negligent in rescuing the citizens who drowned in the Karnali river.

Going from Surkhet to Kalikot K.P. A passenger vehicle number 02-00B 1055 met with an accident today under Karnali Highway at Chamunda Vindrasaini Municipality-7 Sangetada of Dailekh.

Parliamentarian Shahi sharply criticized the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, saying that while the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation was conducting an inspection visit in the sky of Karnali, even the divers needed to search for the drowned citizens in the river did not arrive on time. He argues that saving the lives of citizens should be the first responsibility of the state before formalities and other programs during crisis.

“While the energy minister is making an inspection visit in the sky of Karnali from a helicopter, even the divers have not arrived in time to search for the drowned citizens in the Karnali river,” MP Shahi said.

Addressing the Home Minister, he earnestly appealed to the search and rescue operations of the missing citizens in the Karnali River to proceed immediately with more effective, rapid and necessary modern resources.

It is initially estimated that there were 14 people in the vehicle. The body of an unidentified man has been found at the crash site, but the rest have not been found.
