Dhangadhi. Police have arrested her husband and mother-in-law in an incident where a young woman was found dead within 11 months of her love marriage in Dhangadhi of Kailali.
Her husband Saroj Pathak and mother-in-law Kamaladevi Pathak have been arrested in connection with the death of Kavita Joshi, who was found dead in Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-6 Matyari on Friday.
District Police Office Kailali said that both of them were arrested on the charge of inciting suicide based on the complaint filed by the deceased’s relatives.
According to the police, both the arrested persons have been remanded by the court and further investigation is being conducted into the incident. The Maiti side has demanded a fair investigation and strict legal action against the person responsible for Kavita’s death.
According to sources, Kavita, who belongs to Bungal Municipality-4 Tamtoli Maiti of Bajhang, had a love marriage with Saroj Pathak of Dhangadhi in November last year. Their love affair started when Saroj was working in Krishi Bikas Bank.
Their married life, which turned into a marriage, did not last even a year. Now, the police have started an investigation into the cause of Kavita’s death and who played a role in the incident.
