Pokhara. Nepali workers going to Dubai for foreign employment will now be able to undergo health examination from Pokhara. A health check-up service has been started in Pokhara targeting workers going for foreign employment via Fly Dubai flights from Pokhara International Airport.

Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences (Western Regional Hospital) has prepared the necessary procedure and launched the service from last October 1st.

According to the Ministry of Youth, Labor and Employment, the establishment has prepared a procedure and implemented the service after correspondence to arrange for the health examination of citizens traveling from Pokhara to the destination country at the local level.

With the start of international flights of Fly Dubai from Pokhara, the director of the institute Dr. Dr. Jhapindra Pokharel said.

Earlier, workers going to Dubai for foreign employment from Pokhara and surrounding districts had to reach Kathmandu for health check-ups and flights. After the service starts in Pokhara, it is expected that the hassle of traveling to Kathmandu will be reduced and time and expenses will also be saved.

It is believed that after the facility of health examination is available at the local level, it will be more convenient for workers going to work abroad in Pokhara and surrounding districts.
