Kankrevihar (Surkhet).With the approval of the Raute conservation policy, it has become easy to bring the endangered Raute community living in various districts of Karnali into the mainstream of the state.

After the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Karnali State Government approved the ‘Route Protection Policy’, it became easy to work for the development and prosperity of the Route.

Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari informed that the related policy will be implemented through plans and programs for the next financial year. Roshni Kumari Shrestha, Secretary of the Ministry, said that an integrated policy has been created to ensure the safety and socialization of Route while preserving its art, culture and originality.

The policy made by the provincial government includes topics such as conducting teaching and learning activities through tours and games, preserving the culture by documenting the language and providing citizenship.

The plan to distribute citizenship to Raute, who has been receiving social security allowance from the government even without citizenship, has been advanced. It is mentioned that the language of the Raute community who speak the Khamchi language will be scripted. The concept of Raute Corridor has also been put forward to protect the Raute community as an endangered nomadic tribe.

In the current financial year 2082/83, the concept of the corridor has been put forward based on the route policy of Karnali province, the study report of the route coordination committee, the recommendations of various constitutional commissions and the mapping of the last 10 years of settlement of the route.
