Kathmandu. Along with rain, flash floods are forecast in some districts of the country today (June 18). According to the Flood Forecasting Division, there is a possibility that the flow of water in small rivers flowing through Kanchanpur, Kailali, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta West) and surrounding districts will increase significantly.
In these districts, there is a possibility of ‘moderate’ risk of flash floods, the department has asked to be cautious in the riverside areas.
“Today, the flow of Sasana rivers flowing through Kanchanpur, Kailali, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi West and surrounding districts will increase significantly and there is a possibility of moderate risk of flash floods, so it is requested to be cautious in the riverside areas of these districts,” the department said.
On this day, the department is forecasting that the flow of three big rivers namely Karnali, Bheri and West Seti will increase significantly.
