Kathmandu. As the effect of monsoon winds continues across the country, there is a possibility of rain in most places today, according to the Water and Weather Forecasting Division. At present, it is generally cloudy all over the country. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in some places of Bagmati, Koshi and Lumbini regions.
According to the department, it will be generally cloudy in the country this afternoon. There is a chance of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country and snowfall in some parts of the high Himalayan region. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is also possible in some places of Terai.
It will be generally cloudy over the country tonight as well. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at some places in the Himalayan region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and some places in the Himalayan region of Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces. Also, moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at some places in the hilly and terai regions.
The Division has requested the residents of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini regions to exercise caution as there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions.
