Kathmandu. Biratnagar Kings captain Sandeep Lamichhane has come out in support of young cricketer Gulshan Jha’s post-game celebration in Nepal Premier League (NPL) season-3 after comments started on social media.
Sandeep requested the cricket fans not to criticize Gulshan through social media and to encourage him.
Sandeep mentioned that Gulshan is a young player and he is trying to improve his performance with every match. He says that the players who are working hard for the team should be encouraged rather than pressured.
Sometimes everything may not be as expected. But he is working hard and deserves encouragement, not pressure,” wrote Sandeep.
Gulshan of Karnali Yaks celebrated in a special style after securing victory against Biratnagar Kings in the match held at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Thursday as part of the NPL. There were various reactions on social media regarding this celebration.
Sandeep said that young players should be given enough opportunities to improve their game and build a future. He appealed to everyone to support them with love and goodwill saying that criticism can weaken the morale of the players.
