Kathmandu. The work of preparing the ground has started after the rain has stopped in the Trivi Cricket ground, which was flooded due to continuous rain.

After the first match of Nepal Premier League (NPL) scheduled to be played today was canceled due to rain, efforts are being made to make the match operable by removing the water from the field. The stagnant water in the field is being removed with the help of a motor.

Today’s scheduled match between Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos was canceled due to unfit ground. Secretary of Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) Paras Khadka said that the match could not be conducted due to rain. With the match canceled, both teams have shared one point each.

The second match between Biratnagar Kings and Sudurpaschim Royals is scheduled to be played today at 5 pm. With the cessation of rain, the hope of conducting the game has increased.

However, the final decision on conducting the second match will be taken only after the condition of the ground is inspected and the necessary preparations are completed.
