Kathmandu. Nabil Bank has sponsored the title of the 3rd Nepalgunj International Age Group Swimming Competition.
Organizer Nepalgunj Swimming Club Banke President Keshavraj Neupane and Bank’s Nepalgunj Branch Manager Radhakrishna Pokharel signed the title sponsor agreement in Nepalgunj on Wednesday.
Neupane, the president of the club informed that more than 200 participants from New Delhi and Punjab in India as well as all the provinces of Nepal will participate in the competition to be held on the next 14th and 15th of Kartik at the swimming pool in the Nepalganj stadium complex.
Bishnu Khadka Chhetri, technical director of the competition informed that 80 events will be organized in free style, best stroke, back stroke, butterfly, relay and individual in the competition where there will be an open competition between players in the age group of 8 years to 17 years and above 17 years. The players have started practicing in the swimming pool of the Nepalgunj stadium complex since Wednesday.
According to Suryamani Adhikari, the director of the competition, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, Lumbini Sports Council and Kohalpur Municipality have collaborated in the competition to be organized with the annual calendar and technical support of Nepal Swimming Association.
Shikha Academy Kohalpur, Adarsh Mavi Nepalgunj, Bageshwari Academy Kohalpur are the school partners in the competition. Similarly, there are derma earth, IT pattern techno font as screen pattern.
Nepalgunj Swimming Club has arranged free accommodation and food in four star hotels Hotel Siddharth, City Palace, Hotel Kalpatru, Sneh and Diamond Palace for the athletes coming from outside Banke.
