Look around. Due to incessant rains, the risk of landslides has increased, and night traffic has been closed for two days on the Kanti highway connecting Kathmandu through Makwanpur.
Assistant Chief District Officer Sheshkant Paudel informed that today and tomorrow (November 13th and 14th) from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, District Administration Office Makwanpur has stopped the traffic on Kanti Highway.
According to him, due to the impact of Cyclone Arnab, which formed in the Bay of Bengal, there is a high risk of flash floods in the roads and highways due to continuous rains in the district since Thursday.
In order to minimize possible human and physical damage, the Assistant Chief District Officer Paudel has asked all concerned not to operate vehicles and not to travel on the Kanti highway during the night.
