Kathmandu. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party-led coalition has not been able to obtain a majority after 97 percent of the votes have been counted in Israel’s elections. After that, Netanyahu accused the Arab parties of rigging the elections.
In a statement issued by Netanyahu through social network X, he accused the Arab parties that support terrorism and want to end the Jewish state of “stealing” votes. He claimed that banned software was used for bribery, threats, violence, fraud and voter mobilization.
Netanyahu said that the Likud party is submitting hundreds of complaints and evidence to the police, the internal security agency Shin Bet and the Central Election Committee.
He claims that thousands of envelopes containing ballots and cash were found in some Arab polling stations, threats and violence were made to polling station employees, voting was done with double identity and there was a difference between the number of voters and the number of ballot paper envelopes.
Netanyahu has requested the relevant agencies to investigate these allegations thoroughly and take legal action against the culprits. According to the result of 97% of the vote counting, the coalition led by Netanyahu has won 53 seats, the coalition led by his rival Eisencott has won 48 seats and the coalition of Arab parties has won 19 seats.
At least 61 out of 120 seats are needed to form a government in the Israeli parliament. According to the current results, no major coalition has been able to win a majority on its own.
