Kathmandu. Chairman of CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the party ranks to prepare for the agitation, alleging state terror and gangsterism in the country.
President Oli accused the government of moving towards unbridled fascism while administering oath to the three nominated central members at the party central office Chasal on Tuesday. He claimed that an atmosphere of fear has been created in the country so that no one can speak.
“Now the country has not been able to use freedom, independence has been fragmented,” said Oli, “the country should at least be able to use freedom and independence.” There is no alternative to prepare for the movement to prevent this situation from getting worse.
He said that the responsibility of bringing the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ forwarded by UML to its destination is on the shoulders of the party. He said that UML should move forward unitedly and disciplined to overcome the current crisis situation. He mentioned that people’s attraction towards the party can be returned only if they move forward on the basis of correct policies and ideas.
Oli claimed that the election held on February 21 last year was not an election but a planned second series of regression. He claimed that since UML stands for truth, justice, country and people, the party will win the upcoming local elections.
Newly appointed central members Istiaq Rai, Indu Kadaria Bista and Pushpa KC Bhandari took oath of office and secrecy in the program.
Secretary General Shankar Pokharel conducted the program, Deputy Secretary General Yogesh Bhattarai, Secretary Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, Policy Studies and Research Foundation President Bishnu Rimal and Central Election Commission President Dr. Leaders including Vijay Subba were present.
