Kathmandu. The Immigration Department has requested the tourists not to go to the high hilly and Himalayan areas from 12th to 14th November.

According to the department, there is a high risk of heavy snowfall, blizzards and avalanches in the highlands and Himalayan regions of Nepal during that period.

In the notice issued on Tuesday, the department has asked tourists who have permission to walk in the restricted area not to walk during that period to reduce possible risks. The department has also requested the tourists who have gone on a walk to stay in a safe place.

The department has made it clear that the hiking permit to go to the prohibited areas of high hills and Himalayas will not be issued from Tuesday.
