Dhading The Agricultural Development Office has requested the farmers to harvest and import rice only after receiving information about the possible weather conditions. In the notice issued by the office on ‘cutting and import of paddy crop’, it is mentioned that there is a possibility of light to heavy rain in different places of the country from 11th to 15th of this October. Special precautions have been requested to prevent damage to the paddy crop due to rain.

According to the weather conditions, the office has suggested that the ripe rice should not be brought in until today or cut only after 15th of October. Farmers have been requested to adjust the time so that rice which cannot be brought in immediately can be harvested only after the weather improves.

It has also been requested to arrange for immediate water drainage by cutting a ditch or drain in the unripe paddy field. If the paddy falls due to wind or rain, the office has asked the farmers to try to keep the paddy in a high place by making it thick so as not to drown in the water.
