Kathmandu. Tottenham won 2-0 against Chelsea in the English Premier League on Saturday. This is only the second time Tottenham have won against Chelsea in the last 36 years.
Chelsea, limited to ten men after losing Cole Palmar to a red card, fell behind thanks to an own goal by goalkeeper Mike Penders. Mathes Tell added the second goal for Robert de Jebry’s team in the match at Stafford Bridge. This is the first time since 2018 that Tottenham have defeated Chelsea at home.
Since 1990, Tottenham have won only once away from home in all competitions against their London rivals. To forget such a poor performance, Tottenham won only their second league win against Chelsea and this is the first since 2023. After this win, Tottenham has risen to 12th place with nine points. Chelsea finished fourth with 12 points.
