bow Health and Food Hygiene Minister Nisha Mehta has said that the tender process for the construction of the approved critical care and trauma center on the slopes of Dhanusha has gone ahead.

While inspecting the land proposed for construction of the trauma center on Sunday, Minister Mehta informed that the tender documents have been signed by the Ministry of Health and sent to infrastructure agencies. She said that after the completion of the process, the tender will be called and then the construction work will proceed.

“There is no need to be confused whether the trauma center will be built or not. This project has already been included in the multi-year plan of the government”, Minister Mehta said. She mentioned that the necessary preparations are appropriate from the inspection of the construction site and expressed confidence that the foundation stone will be laid soon.

Local residents have been getting assurances about the construction of the trauma center for a long time, but since the work has not started, they have been expressing doubts about the implementation of the project.

During the inspection, Rajkishore Mahato, a member of the House of Representatives, said that the local residents will be confident only after the construction of the building starts. He mentioned that the start of the construction work is more important than the assurance and drew the attention of the minister to speed up the foundation laying process.

“Citizens here have been receiving assurances in the name of trauma center for a long time. Now assurances alone are no longer enough to satisfy. Only after the construction of the building starts, trust will arise”, he said. Chief District Officer of Dhanusha Prem Prasad Luintel along with heads of security agencies were present during the inspection.
