Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel was the chief guest at Sainik Manch Tundikhel today in the afternoon, ‘Phoolpati Bahain Ceremony-2083’ was completed. During the ceremony, the Nepali Army saluted in honor of President Paudel, the Commander-in-Chief of the Nepali Army.
During the ceremony, the army team waved and fired rifles with conch shells and cannons. In addition to the military parade, a military helicopter displayed a banner and showered flowers with the banner of ‘Phoolapati Bahain-2083’. Durga Bandana was presented on the occasion.
Phulpati is considered to be a special and original program to continue religion, culture and tradition. It is a tradition for the Nepali Army to raise flowers cheerfully on the military platform. It is a tradition to bring the jamara and phulpati brought from Gorkha to Hanumandho’s Dasainghar and bring them in during the summer.
First Lady Savita Paudel, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Walendra Shah, Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal, Speaker of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers and distinguished personalities, heads of diplomatic missions and representatives participated in the ceremony.
On Badadasain’s Saptami i.e. Phulpati day, the army has been raising Phulpati every year in the middle of a grand ceremony at Sainik Manch Tundikhel. There was a large presence of citizens around Tundikhel to see the rise of Sainik Manch. The Nepal Television and other media broadcasted the flower ceremony live.
