Kathmandu. The water supply to Kathmandu valley has been temporarily shut down from today after flooding in the Melamchi water supply project.
According to Bir Bahadur Chand, the spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited (KUKL), the supply of water flowing from Melamchi to Sundarijal treatment center has been temporarily stopped due to the difficulty of processing the water in Melamchi spring.

Chand said, “Due to the rain, the water in the spring has become extremely cloudy. After the quality is improved, the reprocessing process will be carried out and water supply will be carried out according to the predetermined distribution schedule.” If there is continuous rain, it will take some time to supply Kathmandu.
