Seoul. North Korea has released a drone based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology and a 600mm ‘Sniper’ multi-launch rocket system for the first time. Leader Kim Jong Un has directed to achieve complete superiority in drone technology.

According to the state news agency KCNA, a military exhibition organized in the presence of Kim on Thursday featured suicide drones, cruise missiles and multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles. North Korea claims that those weapons hit the target of the island with 100 percent accuracy.

During the exhibition, photos of South Korean military posts and American M1 Abrams tanks being attacked by 600 mm rockets and drones have been released.

Kim said that North Korea, as a nuclear-armed nation, should accelerate the development of artificial intelligence and drone technology along with the modernization of conventional weapons.

Meanwhile, the South Korean military has reported that it has detected about 10 short-range ballistic missiles that were fired from North Korea’s Wonsan area towards the East Sea. Those missiles reached a distance of about 250 km. This is the 17th missile test conducted by North Korea this year.
