Kathmandu. Isewa, Nepal’s leading digital payment service provider, is going to support the habitat protection of the rare and endangered red panda (Habre) through Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026. As part of the ‘Every Boundary Counts’ campaign, ISEWA will donate Rs. 2,000 and for each square Rs. 1,000 (maximum limit including tax up to Rs. 10 lakh) will be contributed.

Isewa, which is also the official ticketing partner of NPL, in collaboration with Red Panda Network and Red Panda Network Nepal, will contribute the amount for each four and six hit in the tournament for the protection of the habitat of Red Panda. In this regard, a tripartite partnership has been formed between Iseva, Red Panda Network and Red Panda Network Nepal.

The amount contributed by ISEWA for the boundaries of the NPL will be used to restore the natural habitat of the Red Panda and create jobs for the local community. Habitat protection and restoration are considered important for the conservation of the red panda, which is listed as an endangered species on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. Under this campaign, a conservation and tree planting program has been set in June-July 2027 in the community forest areas of Ilam and Panchthar, where red pandas live.

Under this, planting of local species of plants, protection and care of planted plants and restoration of a wildlife-friendly environment will be included. Under this campaign, it is aimed to restore about 10 hectares of damaged habitats, plant 10,000 local species and create jobs for the local community with wages equivalent to about 600 labor days. Women will be given priority in employment opportunities.

While giving information about the campaign, Ravi Shakya, chief strategy officer of Iseva, said that the Nepal Premier League is a big celebration for all cricket lovers and said that efforts are being made to convert this excitement of the game into nature conservation.

“Nepal Premier League is a big celebration for cricket lovers all over the country. For every four and six hit in the NPL, we have tried to transform the enthusiasm of the game into nature conservation by helping to protect the red panda’s habitat,” Shakya said.

Similarly, the executive director of Red Panda Network, Ang Phuri Sherpa, expressed his happiness to collaborate with ISEWA to connect the popularity of cricket with red panda conservation and said that this gives more incentive to work for conservation and the benefit of the community.

Likewise, the president of Red Panda Network Nepal. Shailendra Bahadur Thakali expressed his gratitude to Iseva for connecting the energy of cricket with the future of Red Panda and expressed his belief that this collaboration will contribute significantly to the conservation of Red Panda’s habitat and the creation of green jobs.

Isewa believes that this campaign will contribute to the conservation of biological diversity through sports, as well as the participation of local communities in the field of conservation and the creation of livelihood opportunities.

The details of the contribution collected from each four and six throughout the NPL period will be made public through the ISWA website and social media. Through this campaign, Isewa has stated that it will continue responsible business practices by connecting the scope of digital payments with environmental protection and community interests.
