Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended the National Private and Residential Schools Association Nepal (N-PABSON) until further notice.

The ministry issued a public notice on Friday and said that N-Pabson has been suspended in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 6 of the National Guidance Act, 2018.

According to the Ministry, N-Pabson has repeatedly failed to follow the instructions issued by the Ministry as per Section 5 of the National Guidelines Act, 2018. In addition, the ministry is of the opinion that the officials of the organization have done activities contrary to the laws and the basic purpose of the organization approved by the Government of Nepal.

The Ministry discussed this matter with the relevant stakeholders on 23 October 2083. In the said discussion, although the National Guidelines Act and the instructions issued by the Ministry on 12th November 2082 were asked to be done, the Ministry said that they were not followed.

The ministry has decided to suspend N-Pabson until further notice due to continued disobedience of the directive.

The Ministry has warned that after the suspension notice is issued, any activities carried out by any group or faction in the name of the organization will be illegal. If involved in such activities, action will be taken according to prevailing laws, the ministry said.
