Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, there has been a big change in the Global Forecast System (GFS) forecast. The latest forecast indicates that another cyclone will develop. However, meteorologist Vinod Pokharel says that the risk of Cyclone ‘Arnab’ in Nepal has been greatly reduced.

However, other weather models have not given a clear indication that another cyclone will form immediately. According to meteorologist Pokharel, two main possibilities have to be looked at now. “If another cyclone develops, it may weaken Arnab,” he wrote on social networking site Facebook, “in which case the chances of heavy rains in Nepal will decrease, although there may be light rains by Monday.”

He said that if another cyclone does not form or develops late, the possibility of heavy rain will remain from Thursday to Saturday. He clarified that most of the other models are showing the same situation. “Therefore, it is very challenging to predict the development and impact of this weather system,” says Pokharel.
