Dang. Two people died and three others were injured in an accident that occurred when a bus and a car collided in Deukhuri of Dang.
District Police Chief and Superintendent of Police Deepak Shrestha informed that two persons were killed in an accident when Lupr 02-001 H 1571 auto going from Lamhi to Bhaluwang and Lupr 02-001 B 0111 bus coming from Bhaluwang to Lamhi collided in Lamhi Municipality-3 Mazgaon.
Among the deceased are 45-year-old Namsari Baral and her two-month-old baby Jenisa Somaimgar, residents of Hatikhal, Sarumarani Rural Municipality-5, Pyuthan. When the car tried to overtake the truck going east, it collided with a passenger bus coming towards Lamhi from the east at high speed.
Jeet Bahadur Pallimgar of Sarumarani Rural Municipality-5 Pakhapani, Sangita Somaimgar of the same place and Gopal Adhikari, 28, of Naubahini Rural Municipality-8 Luplung were injured in the accident.
Superintendent of Police Shrestha informed that all three injured people are being treated at Lamhi Hospital. The bus driver has been detained by the police and the investigation of the incident has started.
