Kathmandu. Due to continuous rains, 500 houses have been inundated due to floods in Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality of Saptari.
More than 2,000 families have been affected after their houses were flooded. About 2,000 people have been affected by floods in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-5, 7, 12, 13 and 483 houses and 17 houses in Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-4 and 5.
Birendra Majhi, head of Hanuman Nagar Kangkalini Municipality, said that after the water level in the Saptakosi river rose on Friday night, water entered the settlement.
He said, “Though immediate provision of two meals in the morning and evening for those affected by the flood will be made, after the water recedes, the victims will be identified and more relief materials will be provided.”
