Twelve. A child has died due to electrocution in Bara. Four others were injured. District Police Office Bara spokesperson Meen Bahadur Ghale informed that 10-year-old son Akash of local Shyam Ram was electrocuted in Kolhvi Municipality-3 Juguwa Toll.
Akash was seriously injured when the electric wire shorted and got electrocuted while he was turning on the television at home. He was taken to Provincial Hospital Kalaiya for treatment. The doctor informed that he had died before he was brought to the hospital when the doctor did the ECG test.
While freeing the child from the current, his grandmother Aitbaria Devi, 70, sister Neelam, 12, neighbor Phulkumari Ram, 40, and Anita Sharma, 41, were seriously injured.
Among them, Aitabaria, Phulkumari and Anita are undergoing treatment at Tamagadhi Hospital in Kolhvi, while Neelam is being treated at City Hospital in Kolhvi, police said.
